Victor-isms

Victor leaves the room and closes the door. He knocks.
I say, "Who is it?"
"It's me."
"Who is me? What is your name?"
"A boy named Sue."

**********
Victor (in the van listening to the radio): Mommy, is this the old man song?
Me: Victor, I have no idea if this is the old man song.
Victor: This is the old man song.
Me: I really don't know if he's an old man or not.
Victor: Yes, he sings, "Olllllddddd maaaannnnn, Ollllldddd mannnnnn...."
Me: Ohhhh, no, Victor, he is singing, "Amen. Amen."

-The song was Because He Lives (Amen) by Matt Maher

**********
Mr. Victor in his crib, jumping, singing the words, "Water bottle" to the tune of Rubber Ducky, You're the One...
Think he was trying to tell me something?

**********
Victor: Mommy, I have a question to make.
Okay, what is your question?
Victor: No, I have a statement and a question.
Okay, what is your statement?
Victor: I am going outside.
I don't think so; it's freezing outside. What is your question?
Victor: Are we going to a store?
No. Again, it's freezing outside and besides, your mother is an introvert and prefers to stay home. Is that okay?
Victor: Yes.
Whew!

**********
He says to me, "Cindy, I need you to sit up for a yittle bit." When I laugh because he's telling me what to do and it's better to laugh than boss back, he yells, "Don't yaff at me!"
Yes, even the 2 year old bosses me around. Especially the 2 year old. But he's also looking out for me because in the next minute he's asking, "How is your day?"

**********
Victor, did you bump your nose? It's red.
Victor: Mommy, you are blue.
I don't think so.
Victor: Your nose is blue.
I don't think so. Do you think we should trust the blind kid?
Victor: Blanket? Yes, the blanket is blue.
