April Fool's

I got brave this year and decided to attempt a prank on Victor. This could have gone either way. Since he's an early riser I didn't have to wait long.

Thankfully, he came into the den where I was working and told me that was "a good one" and he continued to laugh as he talked about being hit in the head by balloons. Whew! Maybe we've turned a corner.

But never get too confident. He can turn on a dime.

The girls were more fun. Since we have a child in the house who still leaves poop around and a dog who doesn't but who could, as soon as I saw the recipe for fake poop, I was in.

I felt like a middle school boy as I carefully molded the batter into poop-shaped piles.

To cover up the brownie smell, I did actually make a batch of brownies with the left-over batter. No one was the wiser as they enjoyed their brownies last night.

But they woke up this morning to a mess in the bathroom and leading down the steps. Since they aren't such early risers, I had to creatively keep the dog away from the steps without tipping the girls off that something was amiss.

Another great April 1st is in the books.
