Alone time

 It was cold and damp. I just wanted to snuggle in front of the fireplace and read a book. 

That worked for about 2 pages. 

Then a dog came. Then another. Then the 9 year old.

Then he belched in my face and asked if I could smell the oregano on his breath. 

Someday I'll get to be alone, right?
