One just never knows what lies ahead once we cross that threshold.
And really, with our crew, getting there is just as much a part of the journey.
We felt a little like a youth group with our size. All that was missing was the matching T-shirts.
Victor surprised us all by handling TSA, the airport, and his first flight with flying colors. A shout-out to every TSA agent we met who, despite my experiences and stereotypes, was full of grace and compassion as we tried to get him through the rules and regulations with the least amount of meltdowns as possible.
Moving sidewalks are good for at least thirty minutes of entertainment.
He even used his cane properly - some of the time.
He has a knack for fooling everyone he meets, and instantly making friends.
Headphones, like moving sidewalks, were a God-send on this trip.
Just a little more waiting and we'll be there!
The suspense is killing some of us (and the reasons are more than just a cruise!)
Victor caught on to the myriad of accents within the first minutes onboard.
"Who are you and where are you from?" were his constant questions.
It didn't take him long to find his favorite interior decorating item -
lights!
