My guess however is that you are full of fear. Being full of fear yet stepping out and following Jesus's example makes you AMAZING, A HERO, and FULL OF FAITH. I can see Christ. I see him in YOU and John. I see him in your actions, your fears and your joys.

I pray for your walk and for Victor every night and continually through the day and I know some day you will hear those words that we all aspire to "Well done my good and faithful servant"

Steve CowlingPhoenixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06633587722887852210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2338504342324155369.post-43683180792327737002013-05-16T15:21:24.298-04:002013-05-16T15:21:24.298-04:00I have been reading your blogs and been praying fo...I have been reading your blogs and been praying for your family. If I lived closer, I would love to help you out with your little girl. Do you live in Chambersburg? Our journey started in 1980 when God spoke to me asking us to be foster parents. We have adopted two special needs children and are raising the daughter of a previous foster child. The verses you have written have been some of my favorites over the years as we have had 20+ children in our home. I really don't think people understand this call unless they have had it on their life and/or responded when Jesus has asked them to give to the least of these by taking them into your home and giving of yourself 24 hours a day.
I have been told some of the same things you mentioned and told that they could never give the children back once they have come into their home. I have spent many hours, days and months crying and missing children that have left us to go back into the same thing that they were taken out of. It isn't easy but that is what God has called me to do and He will and has been faithful through all the ups and downs. There have been plenty of them through the years and sometimes I have felt that I wanted to give up but then one more comes along and here we go again. When I was 52 my foster daughter had a baby and I tried to teach her to parent but when the baby was 2 1/2 months, we took over her care and she is now 7. Even though we are older and going to retire in a few months, God has been faithful both financially and in every other way. In my heart I would love to go through giving another baby a home but just keeping up with what I have now is difficult enough so I pray for the ones who are doing what I would love to do. I hope that someday you will be back at Roxbury Campmeeting and I will be able to see how far Victor has come. Until then, I will keep on praying.Devonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02958905193270715244noreply@blogger.com
